Mahoney's advanced RTF Grass Seed coated with Foliar-Pak XCD technology is a premium tall fescue blend engineered to create a stronger, healthier lawn that naturally repairs itself. Originally created by Barenbrug it combines 60% elite turf-type tall fescues with 40% rhizomatous tall fescue (RTF). This innovative seed develops underground rhizomes that help fill in damaged areas and maintain a dense, uniform lawn. Its deep root system provides outstanding heat and drought tolerance while using up to 30% less water than comparable cool-season grasses. The added XCD coating contains beneficial bacteria, amino acids, and nutrients to boost early rooting and survival in tough conditions.
Ideal for new lawns or overseeding, RTF grass seed establishes quickly with germination in 7–14 days and delivers excellent color, durability, and high traffic tolerance.
