Description
Premium Ground Cover from Lucerne Farms is a natural mulch for lawns, gardens, and container plants. The blend contains chopped straw, timothy, and alfalfa hay. High-temperature heat treatment helps eliminate weed seeds and mold spores without chemicals. Premium Ground Cover helps conserve soil moisture, control weeds, and reduce soil compaction. As it breaks down, it adds valuable nutrients to the soil and encourages beneficial earthworms.
Use this mulch over newly planted grass seed to hold seeds in place and prevent them from drying out. It also protects seed from birds, small animals, and soil erosion. In gardens, it keeps soil off fruits and vegetables while helping protect plant roots from temperature changes. The material naturally stays in place and breaks down quickly, so removal is not needed. One bag provides up to 500 square feet of coverage when evenly applied at a 1/4-inch depth.
