Tulip 'White Emperor', also known as Purissima, is a beautiful Fosteriana tulip with large, bowl-shaped milky-white blooms that open wide in the sunlight. Its sturdy stems grow 14 to 18 inches tall and support flowers up to 5 inches wide, creating a bold early spring display. Tulip 'White Emperor' blooms in early spring and works well in borders, containers, and mass plantings. It grows best in full sun and well-drained soil, especially in spots that warm early in spring. Plant bulbs 6 to 8 inches deep and 4 to 6 inches apart in fall, and group several bulbs together for a striking display.
