Description
Crocus chrysanthus 'Blue Pearl' is a charming species crocus with soft blue petals that fade to creamy white edges, a bronzy yellow base, and a deep golden throat. Growing just 3 to 4 inches tall, this compact crocus creates a delicate early-spring display in gardens and lawns. Crocus chrysanthus 'Blue Pearl' grows well in full sun to part shade and prefers well-drained soil. Its flowers open in bright light and close at night or on cloudy days. Plant the corms about 3 inches deep and 2 to 3 inches apart in fall, then allow the foliage to fade naturally after blooming. Deer-resistant and easy to naturalize, it returns year after year and is a lovely choice for rock gardens, borders, lawns, and naturalized plantings.
