Description

The Christmas Cactus is a stunning houseplant known for its arching, segmented stems and bright winter blooms. Its flat, waxy pads spill over the edges of pots and hanging baskets, creating a soft, flowing shape. In late winter, the Christmas Cactus bursts into showy tubular flowers, making it a cheerful addition to any indoor space. It’s an easy, low-maintenance plant that’s perfect for beginners.

Growing up to 12 inches tall and 24 inches wide indoors, this cactus thrives in bright indirect or direct sunlight. It prefers very dry, well-drained soil and should only be watered once the top few inches are completely dry—often just once every few weeks. This succulent grows best in sandy, poor soil and doesn’t need fertilizer. With average humidity and warm temperatures, it can live for many years and remain a colorful favorite.
