Black Beauty® Shady Nooks Grass Seed by Jonathan Green is specially formulated for lawns with limited sunlight. This premium grass seed blend is designed to grow strong in shaded areas where other grass seeds struggle. It’s ideal for yards with dense tree cover, shaded buildings, or northern exposures, helping create a thick, green lawn even in difficult growing conditions.
This unique mix contains turf-type tall fescues and fine fescues that perform well in both moist and dry shaded soil. Black Beauty® Shady Nooks germinates in about 10–14 days and grows healthy turf with excellent shade tolerance. It also requires less fertilizer and water than many traditional grass seed blends, making it a smart choice for maintaining shaded lawns.
