Description
Ornamental Pepper Calico is a colorful fall annual grown in our Woburn Greenhouses. Its eye-catching foliage blends shades of lavender, cream, green, and purple for season-long interest. Glossy ornamental peppers emerge purple and mature to deep red and nearly black shades. The colorful fruit creates a striking contrast against the variegated leaves.
Ornamental Pepper Calico grows about 12 inches tall and 16 inches wide with an upright, spreading habit. It thrives in full sun and handles both summer heat and periods of drought well. Use it to bring bold color to containers, garden beds, and borders. The peppers are extremely hot and are grown for ornamental purposes, so they are not recommended for eating.
