Description
Hyacinthus orientalis 'Aqua' brings soft lavender-blue color and sweet fragrance to spring gardens. Depending on the light, its blooms may appear more purple or blue. In addition, dense flower spikes attract bees and butterflies, creating a lively early spring display. Growing 8 to 12 inches tall, this beautiful hyacinth works well in borders, containers, and cutting gardens. Furthermore, this deer-resistant variety thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. For best results, plant bulbs 4 to 6 inches deep and 4 to 6 inches apart in fall. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally so the bulbs can return each spring. Hyacinthus orientalis 'Aqua' blooms in mid spring and performs well in Zones 4-8.
