Description

Allium cowanii is a graceful spring-blooming allium with loose clusters of glistening white florets and delicate ivory-green anthers. Its airy flowers rise on sturdy stems that reach 16 to 24 inches tall, creating an elegant display without taking up much space. Allium cowanii blooms in late spring and works well in borders, rock gardens, and mixed plantings. It grows best in full sun and well-drained soil and becomes drought-tolerant once established. This hardy allium is also resistant to deer and rabbits while attracting bees and other pollinators. Plant bulbs about 5 inches deep and 6 to 12 inches apart in fall for a beautiful display year after year.
