Description
Tulip 'Hakuun' is a beautiful Darwin Hybrid tulip with large, pure white blooms that may show a soft yellow glow near the center. Its strong stems grow 18 to 22 inches tall and support flowers up to 6 inches wide. Tulip 'Hakuun' blooms in mid-spring and is a lovely choice for borders, mass plantings, and cut flower arrangements. The name Hakuun means “White Cloud” in Japanese, fitting its bright and clean appearance. This variety is known for being one of the first Darwin Hybrids to bloom while keeping its crisp white color. Plant bulbs 6 to 8 inches deep and 4 to 6 inches apart in fall, choosing a sunny location with well-drained soil for healthy growth.
