Growing 16 to 24 inches tall, this heirloom tulip stands out in borders, containers, mass plantings, and cut flower gardens. Furthermore, it thrives in full sun and rich, well-drained soil. For best results, plant bulbs 6 to 8 inches deep and 4 to 6 inches apart. Also, plant groups of 10 or more to create a fuller, more dramatic display. Choose a sheltered location as well to protect the large flowers from strong winds.
