A great choice for mild climates, this cold-tolerant beet produces smooth, deep red roots that are perfect for boiling, roasting, pickling, or freezing. The lush 18-inch greens are packed with vitamins A, C, iron, and potassium, making them an excellent substitute for chard or spinach in salads and sautés.
