Description

Azalea Korean Compact is a delightful dwarf evergreen azalea that offers vibrant color and texture to any garden. This compact variety is covered in beautiful clusters of lightly-scented lilac-rose trumpet-shaped flowers in mid-spring, before the leaves appear. The flowers feature purple spots at their tips, adding a unique touch to the overall display. With its forest green, evergreen foliage, this shrub maintains its visual appeal throughout the year, with its narrow leaves turning a striking purple in the fall and persisting through winter.

As with all azaleas, the Compact Korean Azalea thrives in well-drained, highly acidic, and organic soil. When planting, it is essential to use plenty of peat moss to ensure its success. This mounded, multi-stemmed shrub has an average texture that blends seamlessly into the landscape, but it can also be paired with finer or coarser trees or shrubs to create an interesting composition. Perfect for smaller gardens or as a foundation plant, this hardy azalea is an excellent choice for Massachusetts gardens.

Each plant comes in a #3 (3 gallon) growers container. The image shown represents an example of what you may receive. Please note that the height, shape, and fullness of each plant may vary due to natural growth patterns. Rest assured, we will select the healthiest and most vibrant plant for you.
