Description

The King Sago Palm (Cycas revoluta) is a striking, low-growing plant known for its feathery, dark green fronds and prehistoric charm. Despite its name, this plant is not a true palm but a cycad, a plant family that dates back to the time of dinosaurs. Native to Japan and southern China, the Sago Palm thrives in warm, humid conditions and makes an excellent houseplant when given the right care. It prefers dappled sunlight, well-draining acidic soil, and consistent temperatures to maintain its lush appearance.

With its elegant, symmetrical growth, the King Sago Palm adds a bold, sculptural element to any indoor space. It is a slow-growing, low-maintenance plant, making it perfect for homes and offices. However, pet owners should note that all parts of the plant are toxic to cats and dogs. When placed in the right environment, this resilient plant will reward you with decades of beauty.
