Description

The Octopus Plant, or Drosera, is a fascinating carnivorous plant available in a convenient 3″ pot. With over 200 species, these easy-to-care-for plants thrive in a variety of environments, making them a popular choice for both novice and experienced gardeners. Drosera prefers to be kept consistently wet, ideally sitting in about 1″ of distilled, reverse-osmosis, or rainwater. They flourish in bright light, requiring 12-16 hours of sunlight daily, and benefit from outdoor placement during the summer months or under grow lights. With a soil mix of 1:1 peat moss and perlite, these plants are low-maintenance and pet-safe. Just be mindful to maintain bog-like conditions, as allowing them to dry out too frequently can be detrimental.
