Description
Palustris Hibiscus is a native wetland perennial that flourishes in Massachusetts with large pink flowers and dramatic crimson-red centers. It grows best in full sun and consistently moist to wet soils, making it an excellent choice for rain gardens, pond edges, or soggy spots in your yard. Palustris Hibiscus may emerge late in spring, but once it does, growth is fast and vigorous.
Regular deep watering supports healthy foliage and long-lasting blooms from mid to late summer. This hibiscus is tolerant of average garden conditions as long as it's not allowed to fully dry out. Palustris Hibiscus offers outstanding wildlife value by attracting pollinators and is a strong performer in both native and ornamental plantings across Massachusetts.
