Description
The Jindai Tartarian Aster is a compact, fall-blooming perennial that brings cool-toned charm to Massachusetts gardens. With clusters of violet-blue daisy-like flowers and contrasting yellow centers, this aster adds elegance to borders, screens, or naturalized areas. Its large, paddle-shaped green leaves offer lush texture throughout the season.
Known for attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies, Jindai Tartarian Aster also holds up well against deer. Though it spreads by rhizomes and may need some containment, it’s otherwise low maintenance and best tidied up in early spring. Plant in sunny to partly shaded spots for a dependable late-season display.
