Description

Tuliptree is one of the tallest native trees in eastern North America, making it a striking addition to any Massachusetts landscape. Known for its unique, square-shaped leaves and large, tulip-shaped flowers, it thrives in moist, spacious environments where it has room to grow. The buttery yellow flowers, with orange centers, appear from mid to late spring and are a delightful sight when the tree reaches its full height.

In the fall, the emerald green leaves turn a brilliant gold, providing a stunning contrast to the tree’s furrowed gray bark, which offers winter interest. The Tuliptree's pyramidal form and dense canopy make it a focal point in larger landscapes but may not be suitable for smaller properties. Its strong central leader and refined shape blend well with other trees or shrubs, adding sophistication and height to your garden.

Our trees are sold by height (younger trees) or by caliper (more mature trees), ensuring you find the perfect size for your landscape needs. This tree is available by trunk caliper, at 2 in. size, for a more mature, developed option.

Each plant comes with the roots balled & burlapped. The image shown represents an example of what you may receive. Please note that the height, shape, and fullness of each plant may vary due to natural growth patterns. Rest assured, we will select the healthiest and most vibrant plant for you.
