Description

Common Milkweed is a must-have perennial for supporting Monarch butterflies in Massachusetts gardens. This native plant produces fragrant pink flower clusters in midsummer, which are excellent for cutting and attract a variety of pollinators. Its tall, upright growth and gray-green foliage add structure to sunny borders or wild areas.

Spreading by rhizomes, Common Milkweed is best planted where it can naturalize freely. It thrives in well-drained soil and requires little care beyond early spring cleanup. Common Milkweed is essential for Monarch conservation efforts and brings ecological value to any Massachusetts garden.

Each plant comes in a #1 (1 gallon) growers container. The image shown represents an example of what you may receive. Please note that the height, shape, and fullness of each plant may vary due to natural growth patterns. Rest assured, we will select the healthiest and most vibrant plant for you.

*This plant may not be in bloom at the time of purchase. Whether pre- or post-bloom, rest assured it’s healthy—just not at its showiest.
