Very elegant vintage compact with mirror and spot for refillable powder, signed Stratton Made in England. They began producing compacts in 1923 and I believe this "convertible" compact is from the mid 1960s. The inside ring opens when the tiny spring button is slid to the right. It features a beautiful enamel painted floral design on the front. Mirror and back show signs of wear, so please look closely at the photos. Fun piece of history to carry with you or decorate your vanity! Measures approx. 3.75"
