This is Lionel’s 6460-25 Bucyrus Erie Operating Crane Car with the Red cab from 1954. It has a diecast metal frame with bar-end trucks and tabbed magnetic couplers. The crane boom is raised and lowered by the handle on the end of the car body and the hook is raised and lowered by the handle on the side of the car body. The complete car body and boom can be manually rotated about 345°. This item shows a bit of wear from handling over the years. Everything appears to be original and is in good working order. It would certainly look good in operation and add interest to your layout, or it would look great on your shelf.
