Description
Crassula ovata 'Hobbit' (Hobbit Jade) is a captivating compact succulent with unique curled, tubular leaves tipped in red. This hardy plant is drought-tolerant and thrives in poor soils, making it an excellent choice for bright indoor areas. Hobbit Jade features light green leaves that deepen to green with striking red tips as they mature. In fall, it produces clusters of pink star-shaped flowers that add a splash of color and are perfect for cutting. With its slow growth rate, Hobbit Jade reaches about 24 inches in height and 12 inches in spread, living up to 20 years with proper care. It prefers dry, well-drained soil and should be watered when the surface is dry. Note that parts of this plant are toxic to pets and children.
