Description
Helianthus salicifolius, commonly known as willow-leaved sunflower, is a tall, herbaceous perennial that thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Its long, narrow, willow-like leaves and bright yellow blooms add texture and color to gardens from late summer into fall. This sunflower is tolerant of a variety of soil conditions but may become taller and require support if grown in part shade. It spreads by creeping rhizomes, forming dense colonies over time. For best results, divide every 3-4 years to maintain its vigor and control its spread.
Ideal for naturalizing, borders, and sunny landscapes.
Each plant comes in a #1 (1 gallon) growers pot. The plant shown is an example of what you will receive, all plants are individuals and we strive to pick out the best for you.
