Description

The pendulous tassels of 'Coral Fountain' will win you over to the world of unusual, dramatic flowers. These 18″ “tassel flowers” in varying shades of coral, dry beautifully for everlasting arrangements, wreaths, or other crafts. Pollinators are attracted to the flowers, which eventually produce protein-rich, edible seeds that you can harvest for yourself or leave for your bird friends. Special Care: When seedlings have 3 to 4 sets of leaves, clip off the top set just above the leaves below. This “pinching” promotes branching, which means more flowers. Amaranth can reseed. If reseeding is not desired, remove flower heads before they set seed.
