Peperomia argyreia, the watermelon peperomia, is a species of flowering plant in the family Piperaceae, native to northern South America, including Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, and Venezuela. The plant is not closely related to either watermelons or begonias.

They grow up to 12 inches tall. The leaves are fairly large, oval in shape and display a mixture of green and silver stripes. The leaves have a fleshy feel to them and are attached to thin non-woody red stems. Flowers can appear during summer on slim stalks that are greenish in color.

Very easy to grow and makes a good plant choice for beginners.
